Fabien Plart

Developer, projet leader, super coder and outstanding coffee maker.
The machine whisperer.
The extreme being propitious to strong emotions, Fabien finds in mechanic and motorcycles, informatics and coding, two passions that will satisfy his own paradox : a life between stability and endless explorations.

Naturally skilled for languages in 0 and in 1, gifted with an illimitated work capacity and a coffe machine of quality: he let the martial arts, used his network to search and find the team that will help him realize one of his ambitions : to create a game that''ll satisfy his need of challenge, improve the pokemon''s experience and finally let him work for himself.

His meeting with Quentin and the others changed the plan, Kaode will finally be a community RPG, from what he will be the squeleton.

Quentin Guidotti

Scriptwriter, gamedesigner and sound effect engineer of the known world.
The story-teller with the plan.
Quentin, « Qent » for friends, is a story lover, a fiction''s fan, a cinematographical adventurer.

Historian, radio speaker, the story teller of the team likes to travel, push his limits, search for the unspeakable, touch the unknown and feel the colors.
Bored and determined to wait for the end of the world, « Zombie day » or any other event that could mess with the status quo; he learns the secret of mana, visits the end of Time, helps a steak searching for its girlfriend, and a little man with strange hair not to starve.

One day, a blink (that obviously went wrong) transform his world''s vision into a pixel art one.
Newly overwhelmed by his new condition, he asks for some advice to Fabien that offer him a job.
Sure he was in the need of cripples to satisfy the quotas of the team, but well, he seems not to regret his choice.

Léa Rondeaux

D.A.
Passionate stackhanovist, she also knows how to knit.
Lea is a woman in her twenties who likes to spend time in bed, to devour books and to seize the day to its fullest. She is a tiny bit disorganized and has been drawing characters since she can hold a pen, placing them in different contexts and stories.

While roaming through the vasts and devastated fields of the internet, looking for projects that would match her quirk, she finally joins the Kaode team, ready to add her graphic experience to the equation.

With her geek touch, she stands for the idea that it would be interesting for the video game community to introduce more games, stories and female characters.
As a founder and follower of the tree with the bowtie, she gives a second chance to some boring graphic standards to meet her, and to miss her.

Raphaël Marandet

Battle scheme developer and multiplayer architect.
01000101 01101110 01110100 01110010 01100001 01101001 01101110 01100101 00100000 01100100 01100101 01110011 00100000 01001011 01100001 01101111 01100100 01100101 01110011 00100000 01100001 01110110 01100101 0110001 10010000 00111001 10110010 10111001 10010000 00110010 00110111 10110100 10110011 10111010 00111001 10010111 000001010
Raphaël masters the art of coding.
He's a game designer inspired by the deepest pixelised corners of the digital world, greatly influenced by Tron, armed with his loyal keyboard and mouse.

His different projects and the experience points he gained over the years have brought him to conceive great libraries harbouring algorithms and ready-to-be-used tools conceived to empower him in his art of development.

If we were reading a ninja's CV, we would find out that he holds ancient knowledges and has become a master in the art of many technics in modern development.

He spotted the Fancy Tree Studio when it was only starting to bloom, and helped it grow so he could use it to interact with other occupations in the world of video games: sound effects, video, texts, designs, communication, traduction and more.

Clémence Paris

Translating machine
« Yeah. Well, i'm just having a break from my exam, I'll translate your 200 pages project, no biggy. »
Clémence, small sized lady in her twenties, drinks a lot of coffee.
She's been exposed to different languages since primary school (like others to radioactive spiders) without really knowing what to do with it.

Doesn't see translation as a professional career tool, but more like a something quite fun, this added to her fondness for literature, cinema and travels.

Kaode is a gate to the video game universe, so she decided to join the team; this vision fitting perfectly her idea of a linguistic gymnastic.

Erik Thormann

Musician
The guy with the 1001 projects.
Erik was born in the GDR and raised among dense vegetation, industrial ruins, and grew a feeling of isolation after the communist government disappeared, as well as a fragmented but blooming cultural interest.

Inspired by science fiction, ancient civilizations, comic books, spooky fairy tales, the gaming world and metal music;
Very young our musician starts to learn about psychology, philosophy and Taoïsm, thus developping a hipppy, meta-humanist, electronic and punk ethic.

Always experimenting (under different nicknames), Erik speaks directly to the Fancy Tree in order to open the minds and change opinion of others.

The Kaode dream will be tainted with his different influences, with only one mission: create a unique atmosphere and sound for the Travelers of the Known World.

James Leonard

Sound designer
Magical & musical crustacean
James, a.k.a “Plastic Lobster” likes to work with sound.

Many years ago, deep sea currents swept him from his native waters onto the continent, where he learned to blend in amongst the local population.
His first encounter with musical creation was through the legendary Music 2000 game on PS1 (and he still has the memory cards to prove it); this new sense of purpose inspired him to pick up the guitar, get a few bands together and to explore how to create sounds, especially with that strange contraption named “computer”, which he had seldom encountered underwater.

Roll on a good 10 years: the Lobster has mastered the mysterious “computer” and uses it to code algorithms that render sound, to compose music and sonic atmospheres, and to produce other people’s music. He even created his own little business venture ‘Plastic Lobster Studios’ to show the world what can be achieved by a crustacean that follows his dreams.

He met the Kaode team purely by chance in 2016 and figured it would be fun to work on the Sound Design, helping to bring this crazy world and the creatures that populate it to life.

Julien Zerbib

Content developer, good mood provider
Searching for the optimum!
Julien thinks of code in the way of poetry, forges his lines like a craftsman would and end his contracts as a ruthless mercenary.
Nostalgic player made content developer on Kaode, he joined the team in january 2017 bringing his share of experience, hops' thirst and indestructible good mood to the project that struggle maintaining its deadlines.

Mountain-dweller and challenge lover, he sees in the Fancy Tree Studio an opportunity to reach new highs.

Ps: Some even whispers he really did worked with Australians. Ask him.

Cleo Gilbert

Translator, Grammar officer
I'll claim the title of GRAMMAR WARRIOR PRINCESS. Ok?
Cléo is into words.
Any stories, poems, sayings you find in candy wraps, or even general terms of use.
Any letters, books and papers, even paperwork. But also screens, subtitles and fonts (except for one).
(You all know which one).

As words made her, she now returns the favor by cherishing them.
Not only does she proofread the game's scripts, she also gives them a woman's touch by feminizing them so that every female Traveler feels connected to the Kaodian world!

Turning her back on the Grammar Police's offers to hire her in order to subjugate the world, she rather works on the communication and cultural administration for founders of inventive projects.

(You've spotted a mistake?) Send her a screenshot and you'll receive a piece of cake.

Claire Gravelines

Cartograph, illustrator
Draws lines that kills it!
Claire, a budding artist studying in a visual arts school, has taken over the implementation and the coloring of the great map of the Known World.

Trapped in her Lyonnais (day-to-day) routine, this nature and exotic landscape's lover enjoys shaping all kinds of far away lands coming right out of her imagination.

Quite fond of role playing and supernatural tales, Claire did not hesitate for a second to join the Kaode adventure, adding her brush and pencils to the Fancy Tree Studio's arsenal of members

Eva Lacanal

Colorist
Ambition & Multitasking
Young pupil at the Emile Cohl's school in Lyon where she's currently finishing her Master in animated cinema, Eva (or Esflil) find her inspiration while traveling, reading and reciting theatre, writing or playing RPGs.

Organised, volunteer and perfectionist, she adopted the Fancy Tree Studio and is working hard to apply some color to the Know World; from the tiniest blade of grass to the dirtiest pile of metal sheet you could found in the slums of Mallore.

Determined, Eva joined the Kaode's project to explore the industry and the videogame media. So far, she does it f$@# well.

Ambrose Treavel

Craftsperson of imaginary objects
I did 17 different colorizations, you tell me...
Passionated since childhood by prehistoric worlds and drawings, Ambrose ended up studying graphic arts in a specialised school.

Today, after three beautiful trips on the other side of the world, they dreams of traveling by van, wandering and stopping to sketch and paint the appearing scenery.
The lands and unknown stages always has been for they, an infinity of new worlds to explore.

Ambrose join in 2018 the Kaode's project to improve their skill and collaborate with the awesome crew of the Fancy Tree Studio.

Thibault Donjon

Chara Designer
“Yeah no worries I’ll send you everything tomorrow or in the coming days” may 1973
Former literature lover with a fondness for sciences, great enthusiast of architecture and buildings, mountains and cheese, animes and drawing, wandering and video games, ibex and botanic, Thibault is a young man from Lyon just integrating the fulfilling world of Arts.

With the ambition to become an animator or Chara designer, he used his power of procrastination up to now to push back deadlines and fully join the Kaode adventure.
But despite his tendency for disorganisation and chaos, the call of further is a mermaid song he can not ignore.

With his curious nature, eager to learn and encounter, he hopes he will learn a lot from this adventure by becoming the youngest branch of the Fancy Tree Studio.

Arthur Besson

Illustrator and Kaodes designer.
Doctor Frankestein.\r\nBut way cooler.
Arthur is a ginger type human, comics' author and illustrator in becoming. He participate to Kaode trying to give a little back to the video game what it brought to him ; and because he believes that drawing weird and fun creatures is a real purpose in life.

When he isn't lost in an imagination cloud, fed with his own or the one of others, he can be found with a pencil in one hand, a cup of tea in the other, in front of a paper sheet hidden by his lady cat.

Maud Troufflard

Interface designer.
She can talk to your eyes.
Maud, linguist and marketing people, is passionated about graphism.

She grew up with Mario, Kirby and Link, before she fell in love with with Sora and Ezio (all of these names are quite important, keep them in mind).

So naturally, when she heard about Kaode, she immediatly thought of joining them.

Our reporter in Rennes (France) is telling us that as a weird reputation of biker, and that she get high with parfumed candles.

But don''t listen to much to the medias kids, too much desinformation lately.

Rémi Georges Boutin

Illustrator and concept-artist.
The hidden professional of the project.
Rémi aka Kuroe (because it means black/dark painting in japanese and that manga is like a second culture for him) is a young graphic designer in the videogame industry.

After studying in the great illustrating school Emile Cohl in Lyon, he looks for independant and orginal projects in order to improve his technic and give way to his unrestrained imagination.

He thus give a hand with the questrum RPG, and joins the Kaode team.
Main goal: design fabulous and frightening monsters, based on ideas.
An animist logic that suits him.

Laura Eva Zimmer

Cartographer/map maker and graphic designer on Kaode.
The woman with the star-freckles.
Laura was drawing and playing Super Nintendo before she knew how to read or write.Self made woman, she past through a couple of art classes with pain, that helped her to make perfect circles and bad perspectives.

Hoping to become a minion of the video games'' industry since she was a teenager, it''s with enthusiasm that she join the team, getting the opportunity to work on Kaode. Her objective is to become a character designer for Square Enix, or to escape this big bad world to help and heal animals in Africa. Or Kaodes.

Roman Krmášek

Illustator and Kaode designer
A minimal style for a cool dude.
Roman is an open-minded guy who love fresh and cool ideas.

He often works under his slovak username "Vtákopes" [litterally meaning “the dog bird”] as he appreciates the freedom of creation, and can sniff out great projects.

He joins the team in March 2014, adding his small touch to the project.

Dorian Martin

Marketing manager and financial consultant
Bruce Wayne with glasses.
Dorian is very curious, and that’s an understatement.
He was at first devoted to dusty lab physic studies, but soon, his craving for science, information and culture will lead him to join a different kind of universe: Marketing.

As marketing offers him the opportunity to sharpen his critcal skills and abilities - and to get paid for it! - he wanders around, looking for new challenges.

Dorian joins the team in order to add his realistic and commercial point of view to the project.

Although he can’t draw anything artistic, he did draw a pragmatic line of conduct when the Fancy Tree Studio was about to get real.

Robin Antoniotti

Jurist and intellectual property manager
«Objection!»
We all have somethin' to hide, some dirty little secret that haunts us like some squeleton hidden in a closet.

Robin is like his fellow contemporaries: he has many defaults, but one of them is hard to confess... he likes studying law.

Yup.

Despite the many different projects concerned by problematics linked to the intellectual property, the video game universe keeps a special place in his heart: the memory of lost hours in some passionating old school RPG universe, or insulting his screen while once again falling into the numerous traps of yet another online game.

It's thus naturally - and with a great optimism - that he joined the Kaode's adventure, taking the role of juridical and contractual advisor, following the creative process of the project.

Sylvain Guidotti

Illustrator and advisor
Gandalf the white, just more sexy.
Sometime MJ, some others PNJ or player, Sylvain, aka Vyls, Lyvs, but mostly Vanylis wanders between worlds since over 30 years.

Nostalgic moment: his first video game - 2 little sticks on which some kind of round thingy bounces - quickly reveal the tennis champion within him.

Role playing games (D&D, or even “Paranoia”) help him forge his adventurous spirit, and as he reaches the last level, he then aspires to discover parallel universes supposedly imaginary, in order to prove their existence.

Drawing and sketches amateurs, comics and science fiction fan, he brings his contribution to the Kaode wildlife, and also believes to be a good councellor.

Who is he? The storyteller’s father, future armed companion of the Known World, and in a more simple terms: a character drawn from your imagination.

Alexander Lindblom

Sound engineer
"Let's just insert a potion's bubbles sound here my man."
Alex is a sound engineer and a music lover. Fond of videogames, he’s juste happy to create some weird sounds for one of them.

Corentin Magniere

Graphic designer and communication manager (2013)
May soon replace Mac Gyver AND the Pretender.
Corentin is fond of video games since he realised how useful and unbeattable opposable thumbs could be in evolution. On the top of the food supply chain, he especially devourers cultural products offering him a great, unexpected sensorial and narrativ experience. He found out thay the videogame industry could offer him a lot to ingest without worrying about anything.

As an engineer, his abilities in design, systemic conception and psycho-cognitive mecanisms allow him to bring a great technical and structural support to Kaode.

Charles Blanchard

3D graphic designer
If gods were using 3ds Max, you\'d be better shaped.
After graduating from Supinfocom in 2004 thanks to the shortfilm “LOOP”, Charles starts working as a director, CG artist and mercenary compositor for different production (and post-production)* companies in Paris, London and Montreal.

Next to the cinematic industry, he also works on his photography, his drawing and painting, and all other forms of art that would catch his interest.

In 2014, he joins the Fancy Tree Studio to confront his abilities in 3D realisation, to its printing.

*Among which: Digital district, partizan midi minuit, nottoscale, mr Hyd ,
Mécanique générale, Lapac, Magiclab, Shootheboss.

Lastly, he worked on the decoration and envrionment of the movie “The Artist”

Isabella Zsoldos

Illustratror and Kaode designer.
New kid on the block.
Isabella (alias Ether) is the living proof that their is only a thin line between and specialized thesis in neurosciences and scribbles of open skulls, dripping some bits and pieces of brain.

As a self-taught illustrator, painter, comic designer and image animation, she especially blossoms when surrounded by the weird, the strangeness and the surreal.

Yanice Zidoun

Video editor, Director of the Kaode's Chronicles
The Boy Wonder
Passionated of audiovisual, images and geek culture's swallower, Yanice is an overachiever that fell into the associative cauldron when he was young.
Slightly damaged during his fall, he participated and directed numerous short movies for the city, friends, contact and school.

In 2015, he's the co-foundator of the association 404Prod active in the Grenoble's region and elsewhere, and throw "un Monde de poulet" in 2017, an atypical mp3 adventure.

In the meantime, he joins the never ending crusade of the Fancy Tree Studio with Kaode, searching for some thrills, some fun and to get a few lines on his curriculum. Yup!
